The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that occurred inside the 1400 block of Brentwood Avenue just after 6:00 p.m. Saturday evening.
On November 18, 2023, Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a ShotSpotter alert and distress call reporting shots fired in the area at 6:14 p.m. When Deputies arrived on scene, they discovered a twenty-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim by ambulance to Atrium Health Navicent for medical treatment. According to Medical Staff, Kealan Tre Hardeman was pronounced deceased at 7:02 p.m. According to Coroner Leon Jones, the next of kin has been notified. No one else was reported injured during this incident.
Investigators are working to determine what led up to the incident. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
