On November 18, 2023, just before 4:00 p.m., Saturday afternoon, The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Gang Unit escorted Joey Travis Fournier back into the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
All escapees have been captured.
Bibb County Sheriff David Davis said, “We are grateful that this last escapee has been captured. My heartfelt appreciation goes out to all of the hard-working law enforcement officers from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office and from all of our partner agencies who worked tirelessly to bring these four fugitives back into custody.”

Update: Bibb County Inmate Joey Travis Fournier Captured
The (USMS) Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Gang Unit, Henry County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, Henry County Police, Clayton County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, and Clayton County Police in a coordinated operation have captured Joey Travis Fournier.
Joey Fournier, the fifty-two-year-old jail escapee from Macon was apprehended near Stockbridge, Georgia just before noon on Saturday.
Fournier will be returned to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center later today.

Third Bibb County Inmate Captured
Bibb County Sheriff‘s Office Gang Unit, along with the assistance of FBI and FBI SWAT, apprehended 37-year-old Johnifer Dernard Barnwell. Barnwell was located inside a home in Augusta Georgia located in the 3000 block of Alpine Drive just after 8:00 a.m. Sunday. When Barnwell was detained, large amounts of drugs of trafficking quantity were recovered from the home.

Second Bibb County Inmate Captured
Bibb County Sheriff‘s Office Criminal Intelligence Unit, along with the assistance of the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Gang Unit, Georgia State Patrol S.W.A.T., and U.S. Marshals apprehended 25-year-old Marc Kerry Anderson at the Huntley Apartments located at 1000 Park Dr., Atlanta, Ga. just before 3:00 p.m. this evening.

Bibb County Inmate Captured
Bibb County Sheriff’s Office was notified by the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force that 29-year-old Chavis Demaryo Stokes was apprehended in a home in Montezuma at 2:00 p.m.

Asking for the Public’s Assistance in Locating Detention Center Inmate Escapees
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in finding four inmates who escaped from the Bibb County Detention Center. The inmates fled from the detention center through a damaged day room window and a cut fence, after a blue Dodge Challenger pulled up to the location and helped the inmates flee, at 3:00 a.m., Monday.
The inmates are 52-year-old Joey Fournier, he is a white male with gray hair, and blue eyes, five feet and nine inches tall he weighs 140 pounds. He was being held in the Bibb County detention center for murder.
The second inmate is 24-year-old Marc Kerry Anderson, he is a black male with dreads, five feet and nine inches tall he weighs 165 pounds. He was being held for Aggravated Assault.
The third inmate is 37-year-old Johnifer Dernard Barnwell is a black male with braids, five feet nine inches tall, and weighs 190 pounds. He was being detained by the United States Marshals.
The fourth inmate is 29-year-old Chavis Demaryo Stokes he is a black male, with black hair, five feet seven inches tall, and weighs 160 pounds. He was being detained for Possession of a firearm, and drug trafficking.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office along with the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, FBI, and United States Marshalls Office are currently looking for the inmates.
