On Wednesday afternoon, Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Briana Sharnerica Pitts was arrested for Crossing County Guard Lines with Weapons, Intoxicants, and Drugs without Consent. Briana Pitts was assigned to the Corrections Division when this incident occurred. Pitts has been employed with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office as a part-time deputy since November 2022.
This incident occurred inside the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center on September 8, 2023, just after 1:00 p.m. An investigation into the incident determined that Briana Pitts brought items including cellular phones, tobacco, and marijuana inside the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center when she reported for work. The items that were in her possession are considered contraband inside of the jail.
As a result of the investigation, Briana Pitts was taken into custody and booked into the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. Briana Pitts has a bond of $10,000.
