Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators make an arrest in connection with a Motor Vehicle Hijacking investigation.

On Tuesday morning, August 29, 2023, just before 1:00 a.m., deputies responded to a call in the 1500 block of Hawthorne Road. It was reported by the caller that he was outside near his vehicle when he was approached by two male juveniles. One of the juveniles brandished a firearm and demanded the victim’s vehicle. The juveniles took the vehicle and fled the area. No one was injured.

On Tuesday afternoon just before 1:00 p.m., investigators discovered three male juveniles wearing ski masks, and the stolen vehicle within the 1400 block of Twin Pines Drive. When investigators attempted to make contact with the suspects, a brief foot pursuit occurred. One of the juveniles was apprehended with the keys to the vehicle in his possession. The suspect was identified as a fifteen-year-old male juvenile of Macon. He was transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Headquarters for further investigation.

The suspect was transported to the where he was charged with Motor Vehicle Hijacking and Obstruction of Officers.

This case is still under investigation.
