The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial robbery that occurred at 7:37 p.m. at Family Supermarket, located at 2965 Houston Avenue.
On August 8, 2023, at 7:42 p.m., deputies arrived on scene to investigate. It was reported that two male subjects entered the store, brandishing firearms. Occupants of the business were escorted to a breakroom by the suspects. A store clerk was escorted back to the cash register area where money was demanded from the clerk. After getting an undisclosed amount of money, both suspects fled the store on foot. No one was harmed during this incident.
The suspects were both described as black males. One suspect is a heavy-set male wearing dark pants, dark shoes, carrying a red or burgundy bookbag. The second suspect is a slender male with a black hoodie, black skull cap, a black short sleeve shirt, black pants, and dark shoes.
This case is currently under investigation. The information provided is preliminary and could change as the investigation progresses.
