On Monday, June 19, 2023, the following roads will be temporarily affected by the 2023 Juneteenth Parade.  The parade will start at 11:00 a.m. at 310 Cherry Street in front of the Tubman African American Museum. The parade will travel down Cherry Street, left on Second Street, and turn onto Poplar Street towards MLK Jr. Boulevard where it will end. On Monday, no vehicle traffic will be allowed on Cherry Street and Poplar Street beginning at 7:00 a.m. At 7:00 a.m. the following streets will be blocked to all vehicle traffic. The streets will be blocked for the duration of the parade.

  • Cherry Street will be blocked from Fifth Street to First Street.
  • Poplar Street  will be blocked from First Street to fifth Street and first street to second Street.
  • Third  Street will be blocked from Cherry Street to Plum Street.
  • MLK Jr. Boulevard will be blocked from Mulberry Street to Plum Street.
  • Fifth Street will be blocked from Oglethorpe to Mulberry Street.

Signs posted “No Parking” have been placed along the parade route. No vehicles will be allowed to be parked on the parade route starting at 7:00 a.m. and until the parade is over.
