Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrest suspect in connection with a theft investigation at Riverside Children’s Center located at 735 Pierce Avenue.

On May 25, 2023, just after 2:00 p.m., Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a theft. When deputies arrived, they spoke with the victim who reported her wallet had been stolen. Deputies investigated and observed the incident from the business surveillance cameras. The footage shows a person of interest near the victim’s purse who continued to look over her shoulder. Deputies contacted the person of interest, who was employed by the business. After an investigation it was discovered, the wallet belonging to the victim was in the person of interest’s possession.

The suspect was identified as 20-year-old Quintescia Lachelle Coley of Macon. When deputies advised Coley, she was being placed under arrest, Coley attacked both deputies. Deputies gained control of Coley and secured her in a patrol cruiser. Afterwards it was reported to deputies that Coley had made cash app transactions on the victim’s debit card.

Quintescia Lachelle Coley was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. She was charged with Theft by Taking and two counts of Felony Willful Obstruction of Law Enforcement Officers.
