Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators charged a Macon man with Murder in connection to the July 12, 2022, homicide of 24-year-old Mariah Loren Stanfield.
Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators were able to identify 25-year-old Shordricos Demetrick Ingram Jr. of Macon as the suspect in connection with the murder of Stanfield. Ingram was already in the Bibb County jail for charges of Aggravated Assault and Kidnapping. Ingram is being held without bond.

Death Investigation on Knoxville Road
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that happened in the 9200 block of Knoxville Road.
At 6:39 a.m. deputies responded to a call of a person down on the side of the road in the 9200 block of Knoxville Road. Upon arrival deputies found 24-year-old Mariah Loren Stanfield, of Macon, with multiple gunshot wounds on the shoulder of the road. Stanfield was pronounced deceased by Deputy Coroner Luanne Stone on scene. The next of kin has been notified.
