Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Investigators with the assistance of the Bibb County Special Investigation Unit, Gang Unit, Analysis Unit, U.S. Marshals Southeastern Fugitive Task Force, and FBI Safe Streets Task Force, arrested 21-year-old Alonzo Bernard Hicks in connection to the death of 60-year-old Robert Wells.
Hicks was taken into custody Tuesday night at 1459 Eisenhower Parkway, Intown Suites Extended Stay. He was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center where he is charged with Murder and Aggravated Assault.

Death Investigation on Pio Nono Avenue
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that was reported at 2419 Pio Nono Avenue, Mrs.Winners restaurant, at 12:07 p.m.
Deputies responded to a call of a person that had been shot inside of a truck near the roadway. When deputies and emergency services arrived, they found a male subject suffering from a gunshot wound in the driver seat. The male, later identified as 60-year-old Robert Clayton Wells of Dublin, was transported to the hospital by ambulance where he was later pronounced deceased. According to Coroner Leon Jones the next of kin has been notified.
Witnesses state that the suspect is described as a black male wearing all black clothing. The suspect fled the scene into the wooded area behind the restaurant.
