The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office was notified that 53-year-old Roosevelt King Jr., that was involved in a traffic collision that took place on Napier Avenue near the intersection of Del Park on December 27, 2022, has died from his injuries.
According to Coroner Leon Jones, King was pronounced deceased today. The next of kin has been notified.
This incident is still under investigation.

Traffic Collision with Injuries on Napier Avenue
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic collision that occurred just after 6:20 p.m. on Napier Avenue near Del Park.
It was reported that 53-year-old Roosevelt King Jr., of Macon, was walking on Napier Avenue near Del Park when he fell into traffic. King was struck by a Ford Focus that was traveling east on Napier Avenue. King was transported to Atrium Health and is listed in critical condition at this time.
The driver of the Ford Focus, a 35-year-old female from Macon, was not injured during the incident.
No one else was injured in the incident. There are no charges pending currently. The traffic collision is still under investigation.
