On Saturday, December 3, 2022, the annual Reindeer Run scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m. will temporarily affect the following roads. The race will start and end at the Children’s Hospital on Spring Street.
*Spring Street will be closed between Pine and Hemlock
*One lane of Mercer University Drive westbound will be closed. (From College Street to Stadium Drive)
*Oglethorpe will be blocked at Adams
*There will be intermittent traffic control on College at Appleton.
*There will also be heavy runner traffic along the remainder of the route.
*Spring Street to Columbus
*Columbus to Appleton
*Appleton to College
*College to roundabout to Oglethorpe
*Oglethorpe to Adams
*Adams to Coleman to Montpelier
*Montpelier to Johnson to Stadium
*Stadium to Mercer University Drive
*Mercer to College
*College back to Appleton and back to the Children’s Hospital on Spring Street
Deputies with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office and volunteers will be along the route to assist motorist in these areas. The roads should be cleared by 11:00 a.m.
