The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident that happened in the 3500 block of Morris Avenue just before 1:30 a.m. Thursday.
Deputies responded to the address regarding a call of a person shot. When deputies arrived, they discovered a second gunshot victim. Deputies located the first victim, 61-year-old Milton Jolly, outside the home suffering from a gunshot wound, and the second victim, 41-year-old George Brooks, inside the home suffering from a gunshot wound. Both men were transported to the Atrium Health hospital where both men were later pronounced deceased.
Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators are still determining what lead up to the shooting. The next of kin has been notified according to Deputy Coroner Luanne Stone.
