The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office was informed that Deputy Coroner Luanne Stone made contact with the next of kin of the victim involved in the fatal traffic collision on September 11, 2022, in the 1300 block of Gray Highway.
The victim was identified as, 31-year-old Nicholas Chalker, of Macon.

Fatal Traffic Collision on Gray Highway
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic collision that occurred in the 1300 block of Gray Highway just before 12:00 a.m.
It was reported that a male subject was walking in the left lane in the 1300 block of Gray Highway. A pickup truck driven by a 42-year-old male of Milledgeville, struck the male pedestrian. After being struck by the pickup truck the male victim was also struck by a motorcycle, driven by a 27-year-old male of Gray. The victim was pronounced deceased on scene. The next of kin has been notified at this time. The 27-year-old male on the motorcycle was transported to Atrium Health and is listed in stable condition at this time.
