The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a female, who was found in a creek that is located off of Elm Street. The Macon-Bibb 911 Center received the call at 8:46 a.m., Monday.
The female has not yet been identified. At this time there are no signs of foul play. The investigation is in its preliminary stages and investigators are continuing to gather information about the circumstances surrounding this incident.
According to Coroner Leon Jones, the body will be sent to the G.B.I. Crime Lab, so that an autopsy can be performed in an effort to determine the cause of death.
