Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Gang Unit members responded to a call for service on Wren Avenue on July 17, 2022 at 6:53 p.m. The caller stated that a group of male individuals were standing in the street with guns.

Gang Investigators arrived at the scene and noticed the group of males jump out of a Chevrolet Suburban and immediately run from the area. One of the males,18-year-old Dontavious Houser, dropped a book bag containing an abundance of marijuana, a Glock handgun, and a AR style handgun. After a brief foot pursuit, Houser was taken into custody. A second book bag was located inside of the Chevrolet Suburban, it also contained an abundance of marijuana. The total weight of marijuana was approximately one pound.

Houser was transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division to be interviewed. After the interview, Houser was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center for the charges of Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana in Government Housing, Transactions of Marijuana in Government Housing, (2 counts) of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Criminal Street Gang Activity, and Unlawful Possession of Firearms and Weapons. Houser is currently being held at the Bibb County LEC, without bond.
