Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators charged a 66-year-old male with three counts of Aggravated Assault in connection with an incident that occurred on Wilson Road on August 9, 2022.

It was determined that at 11:37 a.m., on August 9, 2022, there was an encounter between Kenneth Thomas Cravey and three males individuals where gunfire was exchanged. After gunfire was exchanged Cravey began to chase the three males down Columbus Road. The vehicles then made a left onto Harrison Road and crossed over Eisenhower Parkway. The chase went into the parking lot of the Walmart and ended when the vehicle that was occupied by the three males lost control and struck a tree. The three males ran from the vehicle towards the Murphy’s USA gas station and Cravey remained in the parking lot of the Walmart.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators consulted with the District Attorney’s Office about the investigation, as a result, Kenneth Thomas Cravey was charged. Kenneth Cravey was taken into custody by Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators. He is currently being held in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, without bond, for three counts of Aggravated Assault.

This is an ongoing investigation. As more information is gathered, additional charges may be added.
