The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic collision that occurred just before 5:30 p.m. on Broadway at Mead Road.
It was reported that a tractor trailer, empty log truck driven by a 36-year-old male of Lizella, was making a right hand turn off Mead Road onto Broadway. A 62-year-old male on a bicycle was coming from the Food Mart at the corner of Antioch and Broadway and rode his bicycle into the rear tires of the trailer.
The 62-year-old male was transported to the Atrium Health, and is listed in critical condition at this time. No one else was injured in the incident. The next of kin has not been notified of the incident.
