The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a pedestrian involved accident that took place in the 1100 block of Gray Highway. The accident occurred at around 12:30 a.m Monday morning.
According to witness statements, a female driver was traveling on Gray Highway towards Shurling Drive. The driver did not see the female until she stepped into her lane of traffic.
The female pedestrian identified as, 51-year-old Alice Tolbert of Macon, was transported to the Atrium Health by ambulance for treatment. Tolbert is listed to have serious injuries, but is stable at this time.
The female driver was not injured during the accident.
No charges have been filed against the driver. This accident is still under investigation.
