The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a commercial armed robbery that took place at the Family Dollar located at 2495 Pio Nono Avenue.
The incident was called into the Macon-Bibb 911 Center at 3:36 p.m. Friday afternoon. It was reported that an individual entered the store and brandished a weapon demanding cash. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money from the cash registers, he fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. There were no injuries reported.
The individual is described as a male wearing a light blue face mask, a long red or burgundy coat with a hoodie, black pants, and black high-top shoes with a strap.
