The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of a person shot. The incident was reported to the Macon-Bibb County E-911 Center at 7:17 p.m. Thursday from a local hospital.
The 28-year-old male victim, later identified as Elijah Rasheed, was transported to the hospital by vehicle, where he passed away from his injuries. According to Coroner Leon Jones, the next of kin has been contacted.
The circumstances surrounding this shooting remain under investigation. More details will be released once they become available.
