The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting incident that happened at 2902 Leone Drive North on February 21, 2021. The Macon-Bibb 911 Center was notified at 4:21 p.m.
It was originally reported that 24-year-old Mandrelle Wayne Curry of Macon, was found with gunshot wounds to the upper body. He was in the front yard of the residence when the incident occurred. Curry was transported to Atrium Health Navicent by ambulance.
Curry was pronounced deceased on March 7, 2022 from injuries he received during the February 21, 2022 incident.
According to Coroner Leon Jones, the next of kin has been notified.
