The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office arrested two individuals in connection with a Baby Death Investigation. The incident occurred on, Sunday February 6, 2022.

It was reported that on February 6, 2022, Atrium Health Navicent Hospital staff contacted the Department of Family and Children’s Services ( D.F.A.C.S.), after discovering internal injuries, involving a six-month-old baby. The victim, six-month-old Major Williams, was transported to the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, that night, to receive specialized medical care.

On February 7, 2022, Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators were notified by D.F.A.C.S. about this incident being a possible child abuse case.

The mother, 29-year-old Amanda Allan Husley, went to Atlanta with to be with Major. Husley’s boyfriend, 22-year-old Tyrek Dionte Dixon was interviewed by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office in reference to the possible child abuse case.

On February 9, 2022 Major passed away. Major’s body was sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigations Crime Lab, so that an autopsy could be performed.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators have been in contact with medical doctors and received information that Major’s death appeared to be from a brain bleed caused by abusive head trauma.

Investigators had warrants issued for both Amanda Allan Husley and Tyrek Dionte Dixon.

Amanda Husley was arrested and transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center for the charge of Murder. Husley also has an unrelated charge of a Probation Violation-Felony.  Husley does not have a bond.

Tyrek Dixon was also arrested and transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center for the charge of Murder. Dixon also has an unrelated charge of Probation Violation-Felony.  Dixon does not have a bond.
