Bibb County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies responded to 853 Riverside Drive, Burger King regarding a bomb threat just after 8:00 a.m. The building was cleared of all civilians.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they were informed that a male subject called and stated that there was a bomb in the building. Everyone was evacuated from the restaurant. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Disposal Unit checked the building and determined that it was safe and there were no explosive devices in the building. Everyone was allowed to re-enter the building just before 10:00 a.m.
