Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators made an arrest in the fatal shooting of 47-year-old Kena Jermaine Marshall, that occurred on January 22, 2022, at 332 Pansy Avenue.

On January 27, 2022, 39-year-old Adam Lee Lamar of Macon, was taken into custody and charged with (1) Count of Receipt, Possession or Transfer of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon or Felony First Offender, with bond of $8,800. Lamar also had a separate hold from a warrant out of Baldwin County.

Upon further investigation, Bibb County Sheriff’s investigators served Lamar a warrant for the charge of (1) Count of Murder on January 31, 2022. Lamar currently does not have a bond.

Media Release Update

Death Investigation on Pansy Avenue

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting incident that was reported to have occurred at 332 Pansy Avenue just after 5:00 p.m. Saturday evening.

It was originally reported that 47-year-old Kena Jermaine Marshall was wounded by gun fire while at a gathering. He was transported to Atrium Health Navicent by ambulance where he later died of his injuries. According to Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley, the next of kin has been notified.

The circumstances around what led up to the shooting are currently under investigation. More information will be released as it becomes available. The original release is attached below.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Aggravated Assault incident that was reported to have occurred at 332 Pansy Avenue just after 5:00 p.m. Saturday evening.
