On Wednesday January 26, 2022, a third homicide suspect was taken into custody. Members of the United States Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF) and Clayton County Sheriff’s Office Deputies served a warrant for 21-year-old Lucky Chiderah Udeh, of Stone Mountain.  Udeh was wanted in connection with a homicide that took place at the Best Western, located in the 2400 block of Riverside Drive. The original incident took place on November 23, 2021.

It was originally reported that, 27-year-old Chauncey Jevon Love II,of Florida, was fatally wounded during a marijuana transaction, in the parking lot of the Best Western.

Udeh was transported from the Clayton County Jail to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center, on Thursday, where he is being held for the charge of Murder. Udeh currently does not have a bond.

Update: Second Arrest made in Homicide Investigation

On Wednesday evening, Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators and members of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force made a second arrest in connection with the homicide that took place at the Best Western, located in the 2400 block of Riverside Drive. The original incident took place on November 23, 2021.

It was reported that, 27-year-old Chauncey Jevon Love IIof Florida, was fatally wounded during a marijuana transaction, in the parking lot of the Best Western.Investigators identified and located the second suspect, 23-year-old Isaac Folabi-Sola Adesina of Hampton, Georgia. Adesina was interviewed by investigators and then transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.

Adesina is currently being held, without bond, for the charge of Murder.

Update: Arrest Made in Homicide Investigation

On Wednesday evening, Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators made an arrest in connection with the homicide that occurred at the Best Western located in the 2400 block of Riverside. The incident took place on November 23, 2021.

It was reported that, 27-year-old Chauncey Jevon Love II of Florida, was fatally wounded during a marijuana transaction, in the parking lot of the Best Western.

Through the course of the investigation 23-year-old Javacea Javonne Battle of Atlanta, was identified as one of the suspects involved in connection with the Homicide. Bibb County Sheriff’s investigators located Battle in Fulton County and worked with local law authorities to make contact with him. Battle was interviewed about the incident and then taken into custody by Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators. Battle was transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center where he is being held for the charge of Murder. Battle currently does not have a bond.

Asking for the Public’s Assistance in Homicide Investigation

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in a homicide investigation that occurred in the parking lot of the Best Western, located in the 2400 block of Riverside Drive.

Through the course of the investigation, Bibb County Sheriff’s investigators discovered that 27-year-old Chauncey Jevon Love II, and two other men drove up from Florida, to make a marijuana transaction. Investigators stated that the individuals that met with Love may also be from out of town, and they are working on identifying and locating these individuals.

During the transaction, Love was shot by the individuals that they were meeting with. Love attempted to drive away after being shot. His vehicle crossed over Riverside Drive and went into a ditch. The passengers that were with Love, jumped out of the vehicle, and ran across the interstate. Investigators are continuing to speak with those men. Love was pronounced deceased at the scene by Coroner Ronnie Miley.

The individuals involved in the shooting death of Love fled in two separate vehicles. One of the vehicles is a dark gray Infiniti, and the other vehicle was a silver colored Toyota Camry. Photographs of the suspect vehicles and video footage from the incident are attached to this media release.

Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in helping identify and locate the individuals driving the Toyota Camry and the Infiniti. Update: Homicide Investigation on Riverside Drive

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that happened in the parking lot of 2400 Riverside Drive just after 11:00 p.m. on November 23, 2021.

It was reported that a male was shot in a vehicle in the parking lot of 2400 Riverside Drive just after 11:00 p.m. When deputies arrived they found 27-year-old Chauncey Jevon Love II, from Orange Park, Florida unresponsive. Love attempted to drive away after being shot. The vehicle crossed over Riverside Drive and went into the ditch. No one else was injured during the incident. Next of kin has been notified at this time. Love was pronounced deceased on scene by Deputy Coroner Ronnie Miley.

There is no information on the suspect or what lead up to the incident at this time.
