The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office received information that 38-year-old Sherman Lamar Perry has been located and found safe. The original media release is attached below.

MEDIA RELEASE: Asking for the Public’s Assistance in Locating a Missing Person from Telfair County

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, working in cooperation with members of the Telfair County Sheriff’s Office, are attempting to locate a 38-year-old male by the name of Sherman Lamar Perry, of Helena, Georgia. A missing person’s report was filed with the Telfair County Sheriff’s Office on December 6, 2021, by a family member.

Perry was located by the Atrium Health Navicent Police on December 9, 2021. The Telfair County 911 Center was contacted in reference to the officers locating Perry in the parking lot of the hospital. It was reported to the Telfair 911 Center that Perry appeared to be safe and sound. Mr. Perry’s family is requesting additional assistance in helping relocate Perry. It was reported that Perry may suffer mental health issues and the family is concerned about his well-being.

The Telfair County Sheriff’s Office reached out to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office and believes that Perry may still be in the Macon-Bibb County area. Sherman Lamar Perry is described as a black male. He is approximately 6 feet in height, and weighs around 150 pounds. A photograph of Sherman Lamar Perry is attached to this release.
