Investigators had warrants issued for the arrest of 19-year-old Kowasis Quentrell Moore, the brother of Quentavious Moore, in reference to the fatal shooting of Quentavious Moore that occurred on August 1, 2021.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators consulted with District Attorney Anita Howard and members of her office in reference to the fatal shooting. After consulting with District Attorney, it was determined that Moore’s death was a murder. The individuals involved were reported to be fighting as they were trying to retrieve a stolen firearm.

Moore was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center for the charges of Murder- Felony and Armed Robbery. Moore is currently being held, without bond.

Additional arrests are pending.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Person Shot 

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators are investigating a shooting incident that occurred inside the old Macon Mall, located at 3661 Eisenhower Parkway, just after 4:00 p.m.

It was reported that two men were involved in a verbal altercation that became physical resulting in one of the men being shot. The  victim later identified as 17-year-old Quentavious Moore of Macon, was transported to the hospital by ambulance, where he was later pronounced dead. The circumstances surrounding this incident are under investigation.

According to the Coroner’s Office the next of kin has been notified.

This incident is in the early stages of the investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
