The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Commercial Armed Robbery that took place at the Family Dollar, located at 4625 Mercer University Drive at 2:48 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
It was reported that a male individual, brandishing a handgun, walked into the business, and demanded money. Once the male received an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the business in a black vehicle towards Highland Drive. No one was injured during this incident.
The suspect is described as a short black male, possibly 5 feet 6 inches tall. He was wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt, with a dark blue sweatshirt, black pants, and black shoes. The vehicle used in the incident is described as a black Dodge Charger.
