As part of National Police Week, the Macon-Bibb County Law Enforcement Foundation, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, and the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department will hold the annual Peace Officer’s Memorial Day program.
This year, it will take place May 14, 2021, beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the Public Safety Memorial Park , located at the corner of Second and Mulberry Streets.
During the ceremony, all the names of our Public Safety Officers that lost their lives in the “Line of Duty” will be read, and the Honor Guard will place a rose at the base of the monument for each name read. In addition, as part of this year’s ceremony, there will be an unveiling of the name of Deputy Kenterrous Taylor, who passed away in the line of duty on March 24, 2020.
