The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred at 8:12 p.m. on Shurling Drive near Eastview Avenue.
It was reported that a motorcyclist was traveling west on Shurling Drive. The motorcyclist, who had moved into the turning lane, struck a concrete median. The motorcyclist then struck a vehicle driven by 56-year-old Toi Washington, that was heading eastbound on Shurling Drive. The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Coroner’s Office. The name of the motorcyclist cannot be released until the next of kin has been notified.
Washington, was reported not to be injured, but was transported to the Atrium Navicent Health for a medical examination. No one else was injured during the incident. The traffic collision is still under investigation.
