The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an assault incident that was reported to have occurred at the intersection of Houston Avenue and Heard Avenue at 08:56.
Deputies responded to the intersection of Houston Avenue and Heard Avenue regarding a person shot. Upon arrival deputies found a 35-year-old male subject with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. It was reported that the victim was walking in the area when he was shot. The victim was taken to the Atrium Navicent Health and is listed in critical condition at this time. No one else was injured during this incident. There is no information on the suspect currently.
