The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a robbery that took place at the MidSouth Federal Credit Union, located at 3205 Hartley Bridge Road. The incident occurred at 10:35 a.m.

It was reported that a male individual pulled into the drive-thru teller lane and passed a note to the teller. On the note, the individual demanded money and stated that there was a bomb inside the bank.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the male drove away in an unknown direction. No one was injured during this incident.

At 10:45 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the Robins Financial Credit Union in reference to a robbery, involving a note and bomb threat. The description of the vehicle that was used in this incident and the description of the individual involved, matched the same description of that from the MidSouth Federal Credit Union robbery.

According to witnesses, the male individual pulled into the drive-thru teller lane and passed a note to the teller. On the note, the male demanded money and stated that there was a bomb inside the bank. Once the male received an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled in an unknown direction. No one was injured during this incident.

The suspect was described as a black male. His face was covered by a black colored, “gaiter” style mask. He was also wearing a dark colored hat, a red long sleeve shirt, and he had on blue rubber gloves. The male was last seen driving a silver in color Nissan Altima, with no tag on the vehicle.
