A local resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, contacted the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office and is adding a $1,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect(s) involved in the aggravated assault incident that took place on Hawkins Street on August 20, 2020. If you contact the Crimestoppers hotline, this reward will be in addition to what Crimestoppers is already offering in this aggravated assault investigation.

Aggravated Assault Investigation on Hawkins Street
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an aggravated assault that took place in the 500 block of Hawkins Street, near the intersection of Candy Street. The incident was called into the Macon-Bibb 911 Center at around 10:39 p.m.
It was reported several shots were fired toward a residence on Hawkins Street. A 10-year-old female was struck in the back during the incident.
When deputies arrived at the home, they immediately transported the female victim to the Navicent hospital. The victim is listed in stable condition.
This incident is under investigation. Additional information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
