An accidental drowning incident occurred in the 500 block of Pierce Avenue. Bibb Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies and the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department responded to the call at around 2:00 p.m.
It was reported that the three-year-old female was with relatives at a family gathering. The toddler wandered away and was found unresponsive in the pool. A family member performed C.P.R. until emergency medical services arrived.
The child was transported to the Navicent hospital where she was later pronounced deceased by doctors. The next of kin has been notified.
