Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies arrest suspect moments after he burglarized a local business. Deputies were able to identify and arrest 54-year-old, Willie Porter III of Macon, for the burglary that occurred at Mrs. Winner’s Chicken & Biscuits located at 2419 Pio Nono Avenue on April 6, 2020, at 4:04 a.m.
Deputies located Porter a short time after the burglary alarm was called into the Sheriff’s Office. Deputies took Porter into custody outside of a vacant home located on Harris Street. Porter was identified as the suspect from the store’s video surveillance system. On the surveillance Porter is seen entering the store by smashing the front glass door with a brick. Porter then enters the restaurant freezer and takes a large box of chicken. The chicken was recovered on a makeshift grill being cooked by Porter.
Porter was taken to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and charged with Burglary. He is being held without bond at this time.
