The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of a commercial armed robbery that took place at the Captain D’s restaurant, located at 5390 Thomaston Road. The incident took place at around 9:10 p.m.
According to witness statements, the employees were cleaning the restaurant when a masked male, brandishing a handgun, walked in and demanded money from the registers. Once the male received an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the restaurant in an unknown direction. No one was injured during the incident. There were no customers in the restaurant when the incident occurred.
The suspect was last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, black colored, “skinny” jeans, and black shoes. He was also wearing a facial covering and had a black handgun.
