On February 2, 2020, around 9:00 p.m. Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators took 17-year-old Johniya Latice Chappell into custody at their office after interviewing her. She was charged with Murder in the shooting death of 30-year-old Johntavies Dangelo Coleman, of Macon on January 30, 2020.  She is being held without bond at this time.

On February 3, 2020, just before 9:30 p.m. Bibb County Sheriff Office deputies along with the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, served warrants on two Macon men regarding the January 30, 2020, shooting death of 30-year-old Johntavies Dangelo Coleman.

The suspects were taken into custody at a residence in the 1000 block of Scotland Avenue without incident. The suspects were identified as 20-year-old Xytwuan Monjai Calloway, of Forsyth, and 27-year-old Shawn Jeremy Robinson, of Macon. Both were taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Murder. They are both being held without bond at this time.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Homicide in South Macon

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that occurred in the 500 block of Moreland Avenue at 9:02 p.m.

Deputies responded to a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, deputies found a 30-year-old Johntavies Dangelo Coleman, of Macon, lying in the doorway of the residence with a gunshot to the torso. Jackson was pronounced deceased on the scene. The next of kin has been notified.

The suspect had already fled the scene before Deputies arrived. No one else was injured during the incident. There is no suspect information at this time.
