On January 1, 2020, at 9:52 p.m. Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies were dispatched to the Citgo at 1803 Pio Nono Avenue, regarding a person not leaving the store.

As deputies were pulling into the parking lot the suspects, who one of which was on a bicycle, tried to run off on foot, but were detained after a short chase. While deputies were checking 22-year-old Steven Mashad Hicks, of Macon, they located a magazine for a Hi-point pistol. As deputies were checking where Hicks ran, they located the Hi-point pistol.

Deputies also detained 17-year-old Kentavious Dshawn Brown, of Macon, who was with Hicks.  Hicks was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Loitering, Willful Obstruction of a Peace Officer and Carrying a Concealed Weapon. He was released on January 2, 2020, on a $2,860.00 bond.

Brown was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Loitering and Willful Obstruction of a Peace Officer. He is being held on a $1,560.00 at this time.
