On November 7, 2019, at 04:52 a.m. Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched to Edna Place and Greenbriar Road in regards to a traffic incident.

When deputies arrived, they made contact with the driver of one of the vehicles, 35-year-old Vontray Markeith Johnson, of Macon. While talking to Johnson they noticed that he was very lethargic and slurring his words and had trouble keeping his head up. Deputies conducted roadside tests and determined that Johnson was under the influence of multiple drugs.

Johnson was checked for weapons and deputies located Hydrocodone, Alprazolam and some green gummy candy on his person. While deputies were doing an inventory on Johnson’s vehicle they located more pills along with a large bag of Marijuana and THC vaping oil.

Johnson was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Drugs, Possession of Marijuana, two counts of Possession of Schedule III, IV or V Controlled Substance, two counts of Possession of Synthetic Marijuana, Possession of Schedule I or II Controlled Substance and Drugs to be Kept in Original Container. He is being held without bond at this time.
