The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single vehicle traffic accident that occurred at 9:28 a.m. Sunday. It was reported that the driver, identified as 31-year-old Jessie Tidwell, was traveling on Hawkinsville Road just before the Warner Robins City limit.
It was reported that Tidwell’s, Dodge Charger left the roadway and hit a guardrail. The vehicle then went down an embankment and struck a tree. Tidwell and his 10-year-old son, identified as Emanuel Tidwell, were ejected from the vehicle. Jessie Tidwell was transported to the Navicent Health hospital by ambulance and is listed to be in stable condition. Emanuel Tidwell was pronounced dead on the scene. The next of kin was notified by the Coroner’s office.
