Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators arrested 57-year-old Michael Wayne Williams in reference to the incident that occurred on Ibex Street, just after 5:00 p.m. Saturday. Deputies responded to the location and found a male with a single gunshot wound to his head.
The male was pronounced dead at the scene. He was later identified as 62- year-old Wille Green Smith Jr.
It was reported that Smith and Williams were involved in an argument that resulted in Williams displaying a gun and shooting Smith. Williams was taken into custody shortly after the incident. Williams was taken to Investigations where he was interviewed, then transported to the Bibb Law Enforcement Center and booked on the charge of Murder. Williams does not have a bond.
