On April 27, 2019, just after 12:00 a.m., a black male entered the Jim Food Mart at 1920 Jeffersonville Road. The suspect demanded money from the clerk. While walking the clerk behind the counter, the suspect pushed an object into the clerks back as if it was a gun. The clerk never saw a weapon, but was fearful of the suspect harming him. Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators were able to link Darryl James Clark to these crimes, as well as the robbery of the Murphy USA Gas at 1420 Gray Highway, and the Dunkin Donuts at 1068 Gray Highway. Both robberies occurred on May 6, 2019. Investigators used the video surveillance tapes from all the locations to link the cases.

On May 7, 2019, Bibb County Patrol Deputies arrested Clark on charges of Possession of Schedule II Controlled substance and Possession of Drug Related Objects. Deputies were called to the Walgreens at 1280 Gray Highway for a person matching the robbery suspect’s description. While checking the area, deputies found Darryl James Clark walking on Marrow Avenue near Fort Hill Street. Deputies checked Clark and found the drugs and related items.

Clark was taken to the Bibb County Jail and held on the Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Related Items. On May 9, 2019, Investigators added three counts of Robbery By Force and one count of Armed Robbery. Clark is being held without bond at this time.
