The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of a battery that took place just before 2:00A.M at 425 Cherry St, the Thirsty Turtle Club. It was reported that 27 year-old Rogers Lwendura Kyaruzi, of Lithonia GA had been talking to a female at the club. After talking to the female Kyaruzi was approached by an unknown black male. The black male accused Kyaruzi of talking to his wife. The male started fighting Kyaruzi. During the fight multiple people began striking Kyaruzi.
After security finally broke up the fight an unknown female struck Kyaruzi in the head with a bottle. It was stated that Kyaruzi pulled out a handgun and fired one shot into the celling at this time. Kyaruzi was detained until deputies arrived. Kyaruzi had multiple injuries and was taken to the Navicent Health Medical Center for treatment. A warrant for Reckless Conduct was issued for Kyaruzi.
