At 06:19 a.m. a Macon man was arrested in reference to the Aggravated Assault incident that happened at the Vista Apartments, 4150 Arkwright Road, on January 29, 2020.

Houston County Sheriff’s Office deputies stopped a vehicle that, 22-year-old Jaire Dominique Mack, was inside. Mack had a warrant for his arrest from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office. Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies took custody of Mack, who was transported to the Bibb County Jail. Mack is charged with Aggravated Assault and is being held on a $27,700.00 bond at this time.

Aggravated Assault Incident in North Macon

The Bibb Sheriff’s Office is investigating an Aggravated Assault incident that was reported to have occurred at 4150 Arkwright Road, The Vista Apartments at 3:34 p.m. this morning.

It was reported that a 19-year-old male was shot while in the parking lot near the 12 building. It was reported that there was an altercation between the victim and an unknown male subject. During the altercation, shots were fired, and the victim was struck on the right shoulder and ear. The vehicle he was driving, sometime during the altercation, struck three cars in the parking lot, no one was in them. He was taken to the Navicent Health Medical Center and is listed in stable condition at this time. The suspect fled the scene before deputies arrived.

A second, 20-year-old male sustained minor injuries during the time of the altercation, but it is unclear at this time if the injuries were related to the altercation. He was driven to the Coliseum Northside and is listed in stable condition at this time.

No one else was injured in the incident. There is no further information on the suspect at this time.
