Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call of a person stabbed and a person shot at 668 Pebble Street just before 2:30 a.m. When deputies arrived they found 35 year old Ebony Smith outside her vehicle on the ground, unresponsive. Smith had been stabbed in her upper right chest.  She was pronounced dead on scene by Coroner Leon Jones. The next of kin was notified by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office. 33 year old Brandi Dixon was found with a gunshot wound to her face. After further investigation it was discovered that Dixon was not shot in the face. She was struck in the face by Smith with a gun that Smith owned. She was transported to the Navicent Health Center for treatment of her injuries. At this time her wounds are non-life threatening. It was reported that the two women were having an argument that resulted in Dixon stabbing Smith and Smith striking Dixon in the face with her gun.

After further investigation it was found that Smith was defending herself against Dixon whom had a knife. Dixon was transported from the hospital to the Bibb Law Enforcement Center where she is being charged with Homicide.
