The Bibb County Sheriff‘s Office was notified by the Coroner’s Office that 48-year-old Ben Gleaton was pronounced deceased today at 1:44 p.m. The next of kin has been notified. This incident is still under investigation.

Serious Injury Traffic Accident Investigation
Bibb County Sheriff’s Office traffic investigators are investigating a traffic accident with serious injury that occurred on U.S. 80, near Tidwell Road. The accident was called in to the Macon-Bibb 911 Center at 9:22 p.m., Friday.
It was reported that a three wheeled Harley Davidson motorcycle went off of the roadway, traveled down the shoulder of the road and then rolled over. There were two occupants on the motorcycle when the accident occurred, 48-year-old Ben Gleaton of Lizella, and his wife 47-year-old Sherry Gleaton. Both occupants were transported by ambulance to the Atrium Health Navicent. Ben Gleaton is listed to be in critical condition. Sherry Gleaton is listed to be in stable condition.
