Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Fatality Investigators are investigating a traffic accident with serious injury that occurred at the intersection of Arkwright Road and Arkwright Drive . The accident occurred just before 6:00 p.m.
It was reported that a male driver, later identified as 38-year-old Elton Dewayne Odom, of North Carolina, was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle, traveling on Arkwright Road when witnesses stated Odom hit debris in the roadway and then lost control of the motorcycle.
The motorcycle left the roadway and went down an embankment and landed next to the railroad tracks down below. Odom was transported to the hospital to be treated for injuries that he received during this accident.
Odom is listed in critical condition.
