The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 26yr old Tirell Darnell Mitchell in connection with the murder of 44yr old Jim Julius Baldwin. A photograph of Mitchell is attached.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Homicide in West Macon
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that occurred in the 1500 block of Berkner Avenue, just after 1:00a.m. Saturday morning. Deputies responded to a report of a person shot. Upon arrival they found a black male lying in the road with a gunshot to the left leg. The victim was identified as 44yr old Jim Julius Baldwin of Macon. Baldwin was transported to the Navicent Health Medical Center. Baldwin was pronounced deceased by Navicent staff. Baldwin was struck in the main artery of the leg. The next of kin has been notified. The suspect had already fled the scene before Deputies arrived. No one else was injured during the incident.
The suspect is described as a black male in dark clothing.
