The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an unidentified body, reported to be a male , found behind the businesses at 3780 Northside Drive just before 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning. Some workers were cutting grass when it was reported they smelled a bad odor. Upon investigating where the odor was coming from, the body was found. The body was decomposed and the deceased person had a backpack with them.
Investigators found some identification with the body but will wait on the autopsy results from the GBI Crime Lab to confirm the identity of the person.
