The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that was reported near the intersection of Houston Avenue and Cynthia Avenue, next to Bowden Homes. The incident was called in just after 12:30 a.m.
When deputies arrived on scene they found two male victims outside of the apartment complex on Cynthia Avenue. Both victims were transported to the Navicent Health Center to be treated for their wounds. The first victim identified as, 25-year-old Jacorey Holloway of Macon, was struck in the buttocks, his injuries are non-life-threatening. The second victim, a 38-year-old was struck in his side, he was later pronounced deceased at the hospital. The next of kin has not been able to be located.
Investigators are continuing to investigate this incident in an attempt to determine the events surrounding this incident.
